Peanut Butter Chocolate Bites






A few days ago my 4 year old wanted to make cookies.  My husband and I have been trying to lose some weight so I turned to the internet to see what I could find. We came up with these little guys.  No flour, eggs or oil. Sweetened by mashed bananas and cinnamon with just a taste of chocolate! My kids loved them for dessert and the next morning for breakfast ;) This recipe makes about 20 and they only have 63 calories each. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bites (Yields about 20)
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup quick oats
1 heaping scoop natural peanut butter
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
cinnamon (to taste)

Mix all ingredients together until well combined.  Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

  1. Julia, this sounds really really good and I actually bought extra bananas today because Riley insisted upon it. Now I know what to do with them!

    Also, I've lost 40lbs this year. I got Aaron to do the diet for a little bit too and he lost 5lbs before he decided that he didn't like dieting:). It's the only diet I've ever been successful on and I have definitely tried a few! Email me or message me if you are interested and I'll tell you about it! It definitely works and is healthy!   2. Julia! That's so great! I'm so happy for you :) I've lost 34 lbs. as of yesterday but still have a lot of work to do. I'd love to hear about what you've been doing to lose the weight too. I will message you on facebook about it. We've cut out white flour and sugar and have been having great success. I always get a ton of exercise but changing our eating habits is definitely the piece I was missing. Even with all of that it is slow going...but I just keep plugging away at it :)

  3. Yes! Totally agree. I always exercised really hard trying to lose weight but it didn't do much. I needed to change how I was eating. It sounds like you are doing a fantastic job already though! Good job on the 34lbs! I've been eating 6 really small meals a day instead of two bigger ones--low carb, low fat, low sodium, low sugar, low calorie. Low everything:).
