Creamy Sausage
Tortellini
Ingredients:
2
cups frozen tortellini (or more depending on taste)
1 lb. Italian sausage (cooked and
crumbled)
2 cans of Italian style diced
tomatoes (do not drain)
4 tsp. chicken bouillion
8 oz cream cheese (cut into small
cubes)
2 cups fresh spinach (chopped)
1 tsp. minced garlic
Freezer meal
assembly instructions:
Dump all ingredients except
tortellini in a gallon sized freezer bag.
Close and massage gently to combine ingredients slightly.
Measure out 2 cups frozen
tortellini into another gallon sized freezer bag. Place sauce ingredient bag and tortellini bag
into a third gallon sized freezer bag and close. Freeze.
When ready to heat:
Combine sauce and 4 cups water in
crockpot and cook on low 4-5 hours or until cream cheese is completely melted
and all ingredients are combined and heated through. Add frozen tortellini and continue cooking
for 1 hr. or until tortellini is cooked to al dente. Top with fresh parmesan if
desired!
This dish appears to be extremely soothing having creamy sauce covering each tortellini just the right way. I appreciate the uncomplicated meals that have the touch of something special. The best thing is mens puffer jackets make me realize the importance of a cozy feeling on cold evenings when it comes to such interesting cuisines.
